PAWTUCKET, RI (May 21, 2013) -- The Arc of Blackstone Valley will hold its 32nd annual Golf Outing & Live Auction, Monday, June 10th at Pawtucket Country Club. All proceeds from the event will support the programs of The Arc, the principle service organization for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Blackstone Valley area. Funds raised through the tournament will help nearly 500 adults work in productive and meaningful jobs, live in safe and affordable housing and enjoy an active social life.
The entry fee is $800 per foursome ($200 for individual golfer) and includes 18 holes of golf (tee off at 8 a.m. or 1 p.m.), golf cart, lunch, dinner and awards. A variety of sponsorships are also available. Dinner, awards, a live auction and a TV Raffle drawing will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Arc of Blackstone Valley, created in 1955, currently employs approximately 250 individuals and serves more than 300 adults including residents of the Arc's properties and consumers of its supportive services. Primary services provided by the Arc to its consumers and families include residential and family services, as well as advocacy, vocational, housing and recreational programs. These services are provided through more than 25 programs, both residential and day, that operate throughout the organization's service area. These operations include two day program locations and seven community-based retail businesses.
