The Special Recognition Awardwent to NEPTCO, a prominent business in Pawtucket that approached The Arc in 2005, offering job opportunities for several consumers. Currently 8 consumers have been trained and work at their job site, earning competitive wages. We thank Donovan Perkins, who accepted the award, for his leadership within NEPTCO. Arc job coach, Page Sherlock commented, “Donovan doesn’t just explain how to do the job, but why it’s done a certain way and what the product will be used for in the future. He makes sure they understand the importance of their job.”
